But even at higher temperatures, PE is still soluble in water, aliphatic alcohols, acetone, ether, glycerol and vegetable oils. PE solubility and degree of swelling in an organic solvent with a relative molecular mass and degree of crystallinity decreases, therefore, HDPE better than LDPE chemical stability.
